Founded by Praneeta Nehra (IIT Bombay, INSEAD MBA), Better Eats was born from the insight that the dessert market forces consumers to choose between taste and health. The Story Behind Better Eats
THE BEGINNING
Praneeta Nehra's journey began with a simple yet powerful realization: the dessert industry forces consumers to choose between indulgence and wellness. After completing her MBA from INSEAD and earning her IIT Bombay degree, Praneeta found herself navigating a personal health transformation. She discovered that traditional desserts, while delicious, came at a cost to her health and wellness goals.
THE STRUGGLE & DISCOVERY
This personal struggle sparked a mission. What if, Praneeta thought, we could create desserts that deliver on both fronts? Desserts that are not just indulgent and delicious, but also nutritionally complete and guilt-free? This wasn't just about creating a product—it was about challenging the status quo of the entire dessert market and proving that taste and health don't have to be mutually exclusive.
THE BREAKTHROUGH
After 120+ trials, we have come to you with these truly healthy and delicious desserts. We relentlessly searched for clean and natural ingredients, analyzed their nutritional profile and tested a great combination of flavors to get you the best and only best there is. During these trials we learnt how challenging getting the science of nutrition and health is. And we also learnt how even more challenging is merging the science with the art—science of nutrition and art of baking.
WHY BETTER EATS
Creating desserts that I eat and enjoy daily myself has been the best blessing and that's what keeps me going, to share this gift with the rest of the world. In the next 2-3 years I want Better Eats to be India's first and biggest all-healthy dessert brand. And I want India to become the healthy dessert capital of the world, not the diabetes capital of the world.
